Content licensing

1. Licensor and scope

Licensor: Ángel González, the person responsible for the CodeaTu educational platform.

This licence applies to original educational content published on codeatu.com, such as course text, quizzes, and challenges, when the material is identified as CodeaTu content and does not display a different licence notice.

A material being available on the platform does not, by itself, mean that CodeaTu owns it or can grant rights over it. Exceptions and third-party materials are explained in section 3.

2. Original CodeaTu educational content

Unless a different notice appears next to the material, original CodeaTu educational content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Under that licence, you may copy and share all or part of the material in any medium or format, provided that you comply with these conditions:

• Attribution:identify CodeaTu and, where stated, the author; retain copyright notices; include the material's URL and a link to CC BY-NC-ND 4.0; and indicate whether you made any changes.
• Non-commercial use: you must not use the material primarily for commercial purposes or monetary compensation.
• No distribution of derivative works: you may create or reproduce adaptations for private use, but you must not share translations, remixes, transformations, or other adapted versions.
• No additional restrictions: you must not apply legal terms or technological measures that prevent others from exercising the rights granted by the licence.

CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 is irrevocable provided that you comply with its conditions. Please also read the complete legal code, which prevails over this summary.

3. Exclusions and third-party materials

Unless expressly stated otherwise, CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 does not apply to:

• trade marks, logos, trade names, and visual identity elements;
• the platform's design, interface, and source code;
• third-party libraries, dependencies, execution environments, and other software;
• images, videos, code snippets, quotations, or other materials identifying another owner or a different licence;
• user-submitted content.

Each of those materials is governed by the notice, licence, or terms issued by its owner. You must review them before reusing the material. If no applicable permission is displayed, no additional rights are granted beyond those permitted by law.

4. User-submitted content

You retain any rights you hold in solutions, reviews, comments, code snippets, and other content you submit. By submitting content, you confirm that you are entitled to do so and that it does not infringe third-party rights or breach an applicable licence.

You grant CodeaTu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, technically process, transmit, and display that content only to the extent needed to provide, protect, and improve the platform features you use. This authorisation continues while we retain the content for those purposes.

This licence does not authorise CodeaTu to use your content in advertising, promotional campaigns, or products outside the service without first obtaining your express permission. You may delete content using the available features or request its removal. We will stop displaying it publicly within a reasonable period, although backups, security logs, or data that we must retain by law may remain.

If you submit code or material governed by a third-party licence, that licence will continue to apply, and you are responsible for retaining the required notices.

5. Platform use and breaches

This page governs content reuse. The use of accounts, quizzes, code execution tools, and other services, together with prohibited conduct and possible action following a breach, is governed by the Terms of Service.

A breach of CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 may terminate the rights granted under the licence, subject to the reinstatement provisions in the licence itself. This does not limit any other rights or remedies available to rights holders under applicable law.

6. Changes to this page

We may update this page to clarify its content or reflect future changes. The current version will display its last-updated date. Changes will apply prospectively and will not revoke Creative Commons licences already granted over previous versions of material.
